Connecting past, present, and future
Founded in Papatuanuku below and rising to meet Ranginui above, The Symphony Centre reflects our ever-present connection with land and sky.
This integration is more than symbolic; it represents genuine respect and acknowledgement of the land's history and cultural significance to Mana Whenua and all people past, present and future.
Mana Whenua has gifted the name Te Waihorotiu to the train station and transport hub that is now under construction on the site to honour the stream, that once flowed through Auckland's Queen Street.
The Symphony Centre extends beyond conventional urban development, it is a place where life, work and leisure harmoniously coexist and stands as a living homage to both Māori culture and a shared future vision.
